I've frequent Tai Sei Ramen when I worked close by... Recently, I decided to eat there with a friend.

We were able to make a reservation for a table since we thought it would be busy with the lunch-hour rush and we were on a short lunch break so we wouldn't have time to order and wait for our food. We preordered our food and it was ready when we arrived.

I opted for the Gomoku Udon and gyoza... I was pretty disappointed with both items.  The Gomoku Udon was very bland... I ended up eating only the vegetables and didn't eat the udon with the soup.  I ate a couple pieces of the gyoza but it tasted old... like it wasn't freshly made.

I'd still give Tai Sei another chance... it was so good before but this most recent visit was a bit disappointing.

The best things to order is their combo sets... they have a variety to chose from and it includes a small soft drink for about $13.

Sometimes when you get tired of the cafeteria food at hospitals, you just want to venture out and find something else to eat. Thankfully Tai Sei was right down the road from Queen's Medical Center! I haven't been here since maybe 2015-2016? And one thing I remembered loving was their House Special Fried Rice so I definitely had to get that again to validate my taste buds. My co-worker and I decided to split Combo #5 which comes with House Special Fried Rice, Chicken Katsu, and a soda! We also decided to order a side of Pan Fried Gyoza.

It's just how I remembered it years ago! It really is one of the best fried rices I had in my life; idk what it is but it's really addicting and huge, I'm really glad I shared it with someone or I would of been seriously kanak-attacked. Our server Elaine was very attentive and oh so sweet. She even gave us complimentary dessert: homemade Mango Tapioca! It was so refreshing and light after our meal. As we wobbled our back to work, we both agreed that we would love to come back here again for lunch

I come here occasionally with friends for our lunch break. The food here is pretty good. There is a lot of seats when we come at around 11:40am. The service is fast and staff are friendly. There are a lot of food to choose from ranging from curry, noodles, ramen, fried rice and more. Also multiple sides like gyoza, katsu and such. Worth checking out if you're in the area. Not much parking near the area so heads up.

Hubby and I were too lazy to cook dinner so we stopped in for some curry and fried noodles. First off, they're pretty cheap but this place doesn't even compare to ramen ya or Daichi. The seafood crispy noodles had thick noodles and although the sauce over it was good, the noodles tasted like stale, oily noodles. The curry needed more flavor and hubby was disappointed. It's a good place to grab something quick but I don't think I will be stopping by here anymore.
